2025 Year in Review

2025 Year in Review

As 2025 ends, it’s time to review the year and look ahead. At Spatial Analysis Etc, we deliver high-quality, accessible training and products to help people reach their educational and professional goals. Here are our 2025 highlights:

Key Accomplishments

We continued to grow as a company by adding new instructors, new courses, and new instructional methods, see below:

  • Expanded In-Person Course Offerings: We added ArcGIS Pro for Crime Mapping – Intermediate, Excel for Crime Analysis – Intro, Power BI for Crime Analysis – Intro, and Real Time Crime Analysis as new in-person courses. Our in-person training courses saw an increase in demand as the year progressed.
  • Additional Online Courses: Our online course offerings grew with the offering of The Crime Analyst’s Toolbox, Mastering Excel Tables, Beyond the Bulletin, and What to Expect with a Police Background Check. We believe that online courses are important options for the working professional as well as a great way to reach students in different geographic areas.
  • New Instructional Methods: We emphasize hands-on learning with real-world tools. We worked even harder in 2025 to ensure that our in-person courses mimic the real world by using the actual analytical software agencies have, data that a student might encounter on the job, and radios with police radio traffic to simulate working in real-time.
  • New Consulting Contracts: We received several consulting contracts in 2025, and we are excited about this expansion of our business. Through consulting, we are able to directly help agencies and businesses in need so they can realize their potential.

Student Satisfaction

  • Positive Feedback: We use all student feedback constructively, so that each course is better than the one before it. Student reviews showed strong satisfaction with our training, praising both the engaging content and skilled instructors. Many appreciated gaining practical technical skills for their jobs. We post this feedback verbatim for each course so you can read it for yourself.
  • Student Retention: Many students enrolled in more courses after their initial one, citing our training as helpful for understanding challenging topics. Earning repeat business is just important as connecting with new students, and we are happy that we had several students join us again for more than one course.

Team Growth

  • Our Team: We grew our team in 2025. We added new instructors this year, who created in-person courses and online courses to expand our course offerings. We also added a marketing specialist, a software developer, and business partners so that we can become even more well-rounded to meet your needs.

Challenges

  • Getting the Word Out: Reaching potential students is an ongoing challenge that we continue to work on. We continue to post our courses to analyst websites, conduct direct marketing campaigns, and advertise on social media. This year we began posting course information to LinkedIn and made several connections there.  Our students also helped us by sharing information about our courses; we saw an increase in new students who said they learned about us from someone else.

Looking Ahead

We are excited about the opportunities to further innovate and serve our students:

  • Course and Product Expansion: We plan to offer several new courses and products in 2026 that focus on getting hired, using Microsoft Office tools, and performing analysis under pressure. We also plan to offer Intermediate versions of Introductory courses. Prospective students should subscribe to our website and be the first to learn about these new courses as they become available.
  • Enhanced User Experience: Our commitment to customer satisfaction continues to be a priority. We are looking to implement an even better user experience for our students. Stay tuned for the details!

2025 was a year of progress for Spatial Analysis Etc. We appreciate the ongoing support from our students, instructors, staff, partners, and customer and host agencies. Thank you for being part of our success, and we wish everyone a rewarding New Year.
