Abbigael Steinmetz is a Crime Analyst with the Irvine Police Department. Abbigael began her career as a Crime Analyst Intern with the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department before becoming a Crime Analyst with the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office.
Abbigael holds a bachelor’s degree in criminology and criminal justice from California Lutheran University and an Advanced Crime Analysis Certificate from Portland State University.
She received over 200 hours of hands-on training in cellular analytics and has expertise through specialized courses in cellular analysis, social media investigations, and computer forensics. She has completed training from GeoCell, LA CLEAR, LA HIDTA, AMB Intel, NW3C, Penlink, GeoTime, and the FBI CAST team. Since beginning her work in cellular analytics, Abbigael has provided analyses on over 600 investigations, resulting in securing numerous convictions. She has also provided courtroom testimony on several cases.
Abbigael is passionate about sharing the knowledge and skills she has developed. She is dedicated to helping analysts, detectives, and investigators build confidence in their work and develop a deeper understanding of this constantly evolving data landscape.
