Dana Boss is a seasoned professional with a wealth of experience in crime analysis and law enforcement. Beginning her journey in law enforcement with the Reedley Police Department in February 2005, Dana has held roles as a Records Specialist and Community Service Officer. In these positions, she handled various responsibilities, from processing paperwork related to reports and citations to responding to crime scenes. Dana’s roles have provided her with a unique perspective on the analytical need of a department.
Armed with an Associate of Science degree in Administration of Justice, Law Enforcement from West Valley College (May 2012) and certification as a Crime and Intelligence Analyst from CSU, Sacramento (May 2013), Dana laid a solid educational foundation for her distinguished career.
Since November 2011, Dana has continued to excel within the Reedley Police Department taking roles such as Criminal Intelligence Analyst, providing vital support for investigations. Her impact extended to the Visalia Police Department in November 2022, where she serves as a Crime Analyst, uncovering patterns, trends, and series in crime data to inform decision-making by law enforcement personnel.
Certified as a DDACTS (Data Driven Approaches to Crime and Traffic Safety) Analyst in April 2023, Dana further enhanced her expertise in crime analysis. Her significant contributions extend beyond her official roles, as she had been a volunteer Crime Analyst with the Cold Case Foundation since August 2020. In this capacity, Dana has played a pivotal role in analyzing cold case homicides, missing persons, and sexual assaults across the country, providing crucial insights and support to ongoing investigations.
Outside her professional pursuits, Dana enjoys quality time with her husband and two daughters exploring National Parks. A connoisseur of True Crime podcasts and books, Dana has a particular interest in American History.
